1. Browsing
You can browse
our database to check our large inventory of parts and supplies. You
will not be able to see prices in Browse mode, and you will not be able
to place an order on-line. Our inventory is constantly expanding, so if
you can't find the parts you need, feel free to contact us.
2. Registering
To use AgsON-LINE Shopping, you must first register. If you are an established
customer, you need your customer code. If you don't know your customer
code, contact us.
The first time you use AgsON-LINE Shopping, you will be prompted to
create a password for your account. You will need this password each
time you log in to our database.
If you are not an established customer of Agson, you can open a New User account.
You will be assigned a temporary customer number which you can use to
log-in to our inline database.
Note: The information you enter here is for Agson's internal use only.
3. Searching
Our database can be searched on four fields: Part Number,
Manufacturer, Type, and Description. At least one search field must be
filled in. Multiple fields can be used; the resulting search is always
an "AND" search. For example, choosing "Canon" in the Manufacturer field
and "Consumables" in the Type field will find all Canon consumables. It
will NOT find all Canon records and all Consumables records.
You can use multiple terms in the "Type" field as well. Again, the
resulting search is an "AND" search. It's best to use single words
representing general categories like "toner" or "laser". Don't use any
punctuation marks.
Try not to make your search too specific. If you make a mistake
entering a part number or a model number, you may miss something that a
simple search for manufacturer and type would find.
You can use wildcards to broaden your search. The "@" (at symbol)
will find any single alphanumeric character. For example, typing "12@45"
in the Description field will find "12345", "12545", "12B45", and
12z45", but it will not find "1245" or "12bz45".
The "*" (asterisk) will find zero or more alphanumeric characters.
So, typing "12*45" in the Description field will find "1245", "12345",
"12545", "12B45", "12z45", and "12bz45".
Note: Wildcard searches take longer than non-wildcard searches
4. Shopping cart
Once you have registered, either as an established customer or a new
user, you are automatically given a shopping cart. Your shopping cart is
available until you check-out or you leave the site. To add an item to
your cart, conduct a search, then click on the Part No. field. This will
bring you to a detail form where you can fill in the quantity desired.
There is a link to your shopping cart on the search form and on the
detail form. From the shopping cart screen, you can change quantities
(by clicking on the quantity you want to change), remove items from your
cart (by clicking on the "Remove" link), and check out.
5. Checking out
Once your order is complete, proceed to the checkout page. You must
fill out a contact name and phone number for your order. If
you are a new customer using a temporary customer code, or if your
ship-to information is different from your billing information, fill out
the shipping information on the checkout form.
You will be contacted by a representative from Agson prior to your
order being shipped.
Note: All information on the checkout form is secure and
encrypted in transit using SSL on a secure server. For more information
on SSL, click here.
6. Checking the delivery status of your order
Orders which are shipped via UPS can be tracked from our site. You will
need the order number you received when we confirmed your order. If your
order was shipped with another carrier, please call 1-800-444-4060 and
let one of our customer service representatives assist you in finding
the status of your order.
7. What if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, contact Agson and we can
retrieve it for you.
